Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Danzel Whyte, Berkeley

Senior • Forward • Brooklyn, N.Y./Teachers Prep

Whyte earns his second Player of the Week nod this season after registering his second double-double of the season with a 24-point, 11-rebound effort in leading Berkeley to a 122-95 non-conference win over RPI. The senior forward shot a blistering 79 percent from the field connecting on 11-for-14 shots while pulling down 11 rebounds and dishing out seven assists in 28 minutes.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Stevan Radosavljevic, Sarah Lawrence

First Year • Forward • Lazarevac, Serbia

In his career debut, Radosavljevic scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds vs. Maritime to earn his first career double-double. He shot 9-for-17 from the field and made 4-of-5 free throws. For the two-game weekend, the rookie averaged 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Jah-Leah Ellis, New Rochelle

Junior • Forward • Chicago, Ill./Hun School of Princeton

Ellis earned Tournament MVP honors in leading the Blue Angels to the Bryn Mawr Women's College Tip-Off Tournament title. Against Notre Dame (MD), the forward shot 10-16 from the field, producing 20 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block in 29 minutes of work. The junior forward upped the ante in the championship game against Cedar Crest, pouring in game highs of 33 points and 19 rebounds to go along with four assists. For the tournament, Ellis averaged 26.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and shot 59 percent from the field and 70 percent from the line.

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Aiysha Dunlap, Vaughn

Freshman • Center • Amityville, N.Y./ Walter G. O’Connel

Dunlap pulled down a school-record 27 rebounds, scored nine points and swatted away seven shots in her collegiate debut leading the Warriors to their first win in program history, defeating King's in league play. The freshman center followed that up with 17 rebounds, nine points and six blocks in a close loss to Cooper Union.

Women's Swimming Player of the Week

Jay Pulitano, Sarah Lawrence

Junior • Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes

Pulitano had three winning swims to lead Sarah Lawrence to a split decision in Saturday's double-dual vs. Mount Saint Mary and Brooklyn College. The junior began the meet by swimming the lead-off leg of the Gryphons' winning 400 medley relay (4:37.71). Pulitano then picked up a win in the 400 individual medley, touching the wall in 5:33.07. Finally, Pulitano won the 200 breaststroke in 2:54.75, just 0.66 second behind the SLC program record.

Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week

Colette Harley, Sarah Lawrence

First-year • Shelton, Conn./Shelton

Harley notched two wins and an SLC record to lead the Gryphons to a split decision in Saturday's double-dual. The rookie began the meet by swimming the butterfly leg of the Gryphons' winning 400 yard medley relay (4:37.71). In the 200 butterfly, Harley recorded a team record with a winning time of 2:28.58. She rounded out her day with a third-place swim in the 500 freestyle (6:04.76).

Honor Roll

Ahmed Dickerson, Berkeley • Men's Basketball

Dickerson contributed to Berkeley's win over RPI scoring 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting and pulling down eight rebounds in only 14 minutes of action.

Milan Germany, Berkeley • Women's Basketball

Germany scored 22 points with eight rebounds and six assists in the Knights victory over Westchester CC.

Stephanie Greenberg, Yeshiva • Women's Basketball

Greenberg averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 steals and 5.0 rebounds over a 1-1 week for the Maccabees. During Yeshiva's win over Bay Path, Greenberg scored 23 points on 10-for-19 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds.

Mellisa Jastillana, Vaughn • Women's Basketball

Jastillana had a near double-double with 10 points, nine rebounds and five steals in the Warriors victory over King's. She followed it up with another near double-double 10 points and nine steals and four rebounds in a loss to Cooper Union.

David Louison, St. Joseph's • Men's Basketball

Louison received All-Tournament Team honors at the College of Mount Saint Vincent averaging a 18.0 points and 8.5 rebounds. The junior forward's weekend was highlighted by a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double in the Bears' victory over Centernary in the third place game.

Wayne McFarlane, Culinary • Men's Basketball

McFarlane scored 19 points along with three rebounds and two steals in leading the Steels to a 53-51 victory over Word of Life Bible.

Samantha Retas, St. Joseph's • Women's Basketball

Retas recorded a 20-point, 17-rebound, five-assist double-double - her first of the season - in a losing effort against Staten Island in the NYU Tip-Off Tournament Third Place Game.  

Alexa Schooley, Albany Pharmacy • Women's Basketball

Schooley was named Tournament MVP at the Panther Tip-Off Tournament leading the Panthers to the title. The junior forward had 17 points and nine rebounds vs. Briarcliffe and 12 points and 12 rebounds against Maine-Augusta. Schooley opened her week with an impressive 17-point, 18-rebound double-double vs. Hudson Valley CC.

Tina Thomas, New Rochelle • Women's Swimming

Thomas swam well in the Blue Angels' road dual meet at Notre Dame University of Maryland. The sophomore earned first place finishes in the 40 free and 100 free as well as the 160 free relay while adding a second place finish in the 160 medley relay, swimming the anchor leg of both relays.

John Tremblay, Albany Pharmacy • Men's Basketball

Tremblay was named to the Mitchell College All-Tournament Team averaging 15.5 points on 51.9 percent shooting over losses to Mitchell and Lehman.
