OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was defeated by SUNY College at Old Westbury, 11-0, in a non-conference game at Panther Park on Sunday.
For Old Westbury (9-6-2), Adan Cruz-Velasquez tallied a hat trick in the first half (6', 13', 25') and scored the game-winning goal. Eight other Panthers earned spots on the scoresheet, as the hosts out-shot SLC by a 27-1 margin in the first half.
Sarah Lawrence (3-11) recorded its only shot of the day off the foot of
Juan Sucre (Caracas, Venezuela/ASFM (Monterrey, Mexico)) in the ninth minute. SLC was tested in the contest, as all the Gryphons played a complete 90 minutes in the short-handed game.
The Panthers recorded 11 more shots in the second half, converting on four to turn a 7-0 halftime advantage into an 11-0 final.

Elliott Warkus (Waimea, Hawai'i/Parker School) matched his season high with 12 saves.
Sarah Lawrence returns home to host NYU-Poly on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Gryphons are set to play their home finale on Saturday against Fisher College before traveling to Yeshiva University for the season finale on Thursday, Oct. 31.
