BOX SCORE

The ACPHS men's basketball team lost their first Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference game of the season tonight to St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn by a score of 81-61.

The Bears of St. Joseph's started the game on fire, downing 22 points in the first six minutes while only allowing the Panthers to score four. The remainder of the first half was dominated by the Bears as they earned a 25 point lead that would take them into the half up 48-23.

Casey Redfern led the Panthers effort with 17 points, while freshman Ryan McVaigh added 12 points and six rebounds.

Despite outscoring the Bears in the second half 38-33, the Panthers were unable to dig their way out of the hole the Bears had created in the first half.

The Panthers' record falls to 12-4 overall, and 4-1 in conference play. The team will return to action on Wednesday, February 6th at home against Word of Life at 7:00 pm.
