Pottersville, NY—The Word of Life Huskies welcomed the Five Towns College Sound into town for their final HVIAC regular season match. The Huskies were firing on all cylinders Saturday afternoon, but it wasn't until the 18th minute when Isabella Tanis (19) scored her 2nd goal of the 2023 season to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. During the second half, a late push by the Sound led to Chelsea Martinez tying the game at 1-1 in the 77th minute of the game. This would lead to the teams drawing in back-to-back seasons of meeting with a 1-1 draw (0-0 in 2022).
The Huskies move to 2-2-2 on the season and will play at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
