In the team's second conference game of the season, the ACPHS men's soccer team defeated Vaughn College by a score of 3-1 as
Alessandro Macchiarelli earned a hat trick to help lead the Panthers to a key road victory. With the victory, the Panthers improve to 4-2 on the season, and 2-0 in the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference.
Just over one minute into the game, the ACPHS keeper,
Adam Hoye-Simek sent a goal kick over the Warrior defense and found a streaking Macchiarelli who found the back of the net to open the scoring on the day. The Panthers extended their lead in the 35th minute when
Steve Sullivan weaved his way through defenders and slipped the ball to Macchiarelli who beat the Vaughn keeper. Just over 20 minutes into the second half, Macchiarelli finished his hat trick on an assist from
Nick Wlock fo finish the scoring for ACPHS.
With no time to rest, the Panthers return to the field on Sunday as they host Sarah Lawrence College.
