The ACPHS men's basketball team defeated the Word of Life Bible Institute on Wednesday evening by a score of 88-72 to improve to 13-4 on the season. Junior Forward Casey Redfern scored a game high 34 points to lead the Panthers to victory.

The Huskies were first to light up the scoreboard with a three point basket which was quickly answered by Redfern who contributed a lay-up to start the Panthers scoring.

Both teams traded the lead in the opening minutes of the half until the Panthers took control of the game with 8:23 remaining as David Mcentee converted on a jumpshot that would give the Panthers the lead. This momentum would carry the Panthers into halftime with a 10 point lead.

The Panthers were able to pull away from the Huskies in the second half with help from freshman Ryan McVaigh who scored 18 points overall. Dominating the boards were Steven Brown and Casey Redfern who each pulled down 10 rebounds.

The Panthers return to play on Saturday afternoon as they face the number one ranked team in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, NHTI. They will then hit the road on Sunday to face conference rivals, Berkeley College.
