The ACPHS men's basketball team fell to New Hampshire Technical Institute by a score of 75-54 on Saturday afternoon in the opening round of the NHTI Invitational in Concord, NH.
Peter Aiken (Pottersville, NY, North Warren) led the Panthers with 17 points while
Casey Redfern (Binghamton, NY, Chenango Forks) had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough for ACPHS as they committed 25 turnovers and shot just 5-15 from the free throw line.
For the opening 20 minutes, ACPHS was able to keep pace with the high-powered NHTI offense, led by Aiken and Redfern as it was a back and forth game until NHTI pulled away a little bit late in the half to take a 41-32 into the break. NHTI began to pull away as ACPHS couldn't find the mark from the outside, connecting on just 3 of 12 shots from beyond the three-point line.
