The ACPHS men's basketball team fell by a score of 89-53 to the College of St. Joseph (VT) in the opening game of the 2011-12 season on Tuesday night in Albany.
Casey Redfern (Binghamton, NY, Chenango Forks) led the Panthers in scoring with 21 points while
Peter Aiken (Pottersville, NY, North Warren) added 17 points and eight rebounds for ACPHS.
The Saints were able to use their significant height advantage as they controlled the boards, earning a 65-41 rebounding advantage for the game. St. Joseph grabbed 26 offensive rebounds in the game as ACPHS struggled on the offensive end for most of the game, shooting just 29% from the field.
The Panthers travel to St. Louis on Thursday for a game on Saturday against the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
