Men's Soccer Falls to SUNY-ESF

The ACPHS men's soccer team fell to the SUNY College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry on Sunday afternoon by a score of 3-0. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 6-4 on the season, as they suffered their first back-to-back losses since October of 2011.

The Mighty Oaks scored first at the 11 minute mark to take an early lead, and followed that up 20 minutes later with another goal to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The defense, led by keeper Adam Hoye-Simek and defenders Ben Twait and Matt Simpson, did all they could to hold off the pressure from SUNY-ESF, but ACPHS was unable to maintain any consisstent offense on the other side of the field.

ESF added another goal in the second half to account for the final score. The Panthers return to the field on Thursday as they travel to Hudson Valley Community College.
