YONKERS, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was bested by Polytechnic Institute of New York University, 6-0, in a non-conference game at Tibbetts Brook Park on Monday evening. The loss marks the third-straight for Sarah Lawrence (2-7), while NYU Poly (5-8) snaps a two-game skid.
NYU Poly opened the scoring in the 20th minute when
Andres Torres (Weston, FL, Cypress Bay HS) notched the first goal of the match. In the 35th minute, the Fighting Blue Jays extended the lead on agoal by
Kyle Casey (Exton, PA, CFS, The School at Church Farm) from a pass by
Daniel Drake (Thornwood, NY, West Lake HS).
The visitors kept the momentum in the second half, as NYU Poly tacked on two more goals in the first 11 minutes of the period. The scoring was rounded out by an additional pair of goals in the final five minutes of the game.
Sophomore
Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India, Inventure Academy) led the offensive attack for the Gryphons, posting three shots—all on goal. Senior
Nathan Thompson (Portland, Ore., Lake Oswego) also contributed a pair of shots on goal.

Sarah Lawrence returns to the pitch on Saturday, when the Gryphons travel to face Cooper Union for a 2 p.m. game.
