Sawyer was 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles playing at the top of the lineup and leading Culinary to a 1-1 mark on the week. In the Steels victory over Vaughn, he dropped only one game taking an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles and a 10-1 triumph at No. 1 singles.
