2008 HVMAC Coach of the Year
Scott Gomez • St. Joseph's College
St. Joseph’s College rookie Head Cross Country Coach Scott Gomez led the Bears to unprecedented success during the 2008 season as SJC finished as the Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference runner-up - the highest finish in the history of the program. Along the way, St. Joseph’s displayed impressive results at competitions such as a sixth place finish at Stevens, and a 10th place finish at the York College Invitational. After only three years of existence, St. Joseph’s is clearly on the rise, and with a strong nucleus returning for the 2009 season, the Bears could be in the hunt for their first ever HVMAC crown
