Softball Pitcher of the Week - April 30, 2013

Vargas was the Lady Bears leading pitcher during the week going 1-1 in three appearances with 13.1 innings pitched compiling a 2.62 ERA. The junior's week was highlighted by a one-hit shutout against Sarah Lawrence on Sunday allowing the lone hit in the second inning before allowing only one baserunner in the subsequent innings. Vargas was also outstanding at the dish as she hit .538 (7-for-13) with three runs scored, two RBI and a triple during the week as the Lady Bears went 4-2.
