2009 Co-Coaches of the Year
Shishaldin Hanlen • Pratt
Institute
Walter Sanchez • St.
Joseph’s College
Head coaches Shishaldin Hanlen of Pratt Institute and Walter Sanchez of St. Joseph’s College have been selected at 2009 Co-Coaches of the Year as voted by their peers.
In Hanlen’s 6th year at the helm, Pratt lost only one match in the regular season to the eventual champions and the Cannoneers finished as the tournament runner-up.
Despite having a young team consisting of seven freshmen, Sanchez maintained St. Joseph’s conference position and helped guide Jessica Lintner to the first individual title in St. Joe’s history with an upset victory in the 1st singles draw.
