Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week - October 1, 2013

Marissa Armstrong, New Rochelle

Freshman • Outside Hitter • Scottsdale, Ariz./Paradise Valley HS

Armstrong helped The College of New Rochelle to a perfect 4-0 week, and 2-0 and HVIAC play. The freshman outside hitter became the first Blue Angel to record 20 kills in a match in the 3-1 win over Rutgers-Newark, adding 12 digs and three aces. Armstrong recorded two double-doubles on the week and averaged 3.4 kills, 3.2 digs and 1.1 aces per set in receiving her second Rookie of the Week honor this season.
