Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week - September 3, 2014

Fabiola Padilla Rios, New Rochelle

Freshman • Outside Hitter • San Juan, Puerto Rico/University Gardens

Padilla Rios posted an impressive opening weekend to her collegiate career at the 12th Annual Greyhound Premiere, held at Moravian College. The rookie averaged 2.5 kills and 6.5 digs per set, adding seven aces, four assists and two total blocks. In the season opener against Alvernia University, she dug up a team-high 24 balls. In the tournament finale against Centenary College, she produced her first collegiate double-double, slamming home 10 kills to go along with 13 digs.
