Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Jean-Gardy Derineau, Berkeley

Junior • Midfield • Valley Stream, N.Y.

Derineau lifted the Knights past defending USCAA Division II national champion Penn State Brandywine, scoring three second-half goals in a 16-minute span. Berkeley trailed 2-0 at halftime before Derineau's hat-trick gave them a season-opening upset.

Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week

Gavin Carvey, Albany Pharmacy

Freshman • Midfield

Carvey had an impressive debut with a goal and two assists contributing to Albany Pharmacy's 4-3 victory over Southern Maine C.C.

Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Emily Linehan, Albany Pharmacy

Junior • Defense • Massapequa, N.Y.

Linehan scored the Panthers' only goal in their season opener giving them a 1-1 tie in double-overtime with Johnson & Wales over the weekend.

Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week

Shannon Donnelly, Albany Pharmacy

Freshman • Midfield • Delmar, N.Y.

Donnelly started at midfield in each of her first two collegiate games, aiding a Panther defense that allowed just two goals in two contests last week.

Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

Cori Glidden, Pratt

Senior • Middle Blocker • Susquehanna, Pa.

Glidden slammed eight kills on .462 hitting with a block in Pratt's season opener against Wheaton and followed with nine kills, three digs, and a block in a five-set loss to Buffalo State.

Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week

Avery Johnson, King's

Freshman • Outside Hitter • Fairburn, Ga.

Johnson notched 13 kills as King's went 1-1 at a tri-match over the weekend in her first-ever collegiate action.

Women's Cross Country Player of the Week

Julie Romano, SUNY ESF

Junior • Mansfield, Mass.

Romano secured a third-place finish at the SUNY Poly Short Course Invite with a time of 17:36 (4K) in a field of 104 runners as the Mighty Oaks took home first-place as a team.

Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

Abby Perez, SUNY ESF

Freshman • Queens, N.Y.

Perez placed second in her collegiate debut with a time of 17:16 (4K) at the SUNY Poly Short Course Invite. As one of two Mighty Oaks in the top three, she helped lead them to the team championship. 

Men's Cross Country Player of the Week

Matthew Tripp, SUNY ESF

Freshman • Fayetteville, N.Y.

Tripp finished second in his first collegiate race competing in the SUNY Poly Short Course Invite with a 19:36 6K time while the Mighty Oaks placed second as a team. 

Honor Roll

Callie Donaghue, King's • Women's Volleyball

The rookie totaled 10 aces and 10 digs over her first two career matches this past weekend.

Elizabeth Hannah, Pratt • Women's Volleyball

The freshman had seven kills on .125 hitting with a pair of aces in a five-set Cannoneer loss to Buffalo State.

Noah Keith, Albany Pharmacy • Men's Soccer

The senior netted half of the Panthers' goals in a high-scoring 4-3 triumph against Southern Maine C.C. in the season opener.
