HVIAC Players of the Week - October 29

Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

Shannon Corr, Pratt

Sophomore • Outside Hitter • Copiague, N.Y.

Corr put away a season-high 16 kills along with 13 digs, an ace, and a block in a five-set loss to Mount Saint Vincent in which the Cannoneers were down 2-0 and stormed back for a near-upset. 

Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week

Rose Moon, Pratt

Freshman • Outside Hitter • Santa Fe, N.M.

Moon went off for 30 kills across a tri-match with strong NCAA Division III opponents Mount Saint Vincent and SUNY Oneonta. She had an 18-kill, 19-dig double-double (2 aces, 1 blk, 1 ast) against the Dolphins (3-2 loss) and followed with 12 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 defeat to the Red Dragons.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Amanda Twu, Pratt

Senior • Spring Lake, Mich.

Twu secures her second-straight Player of the Week honor after winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and 8-2 in the first doubles position as Pratt downed Purchase 9-0.

Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

Nastazja Cancellaro, Pratt

Freshman • Western Springs, Ill.

Cancellaro swept her opponent at third singles and was victorious at No. 2 doubles (8-2) in the Cannoneers' triumph over Purchase.

Honor Roll

Lanasia Drain, Five Towns • Women's Volleyball

The freshman had 11 kills and two blocks as the Sound got swept by Purchase.
