The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #2 of the 2023-2024 Men's and Women's Soccer season.

This week, the honor of Men's Soccer Player of the Week goes to Joseph Mathews from the Word of Life Bible Institute.

Mathews netted four of the Huskies seven goals over the course of two matches. He registered a hat trick(3 goals) in a 5-0 victory against North Country Community College and one goal in a 2-0 win over HVIAC opponent, SUNY ESF.

Berkeley College's Victor Batista is named Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for Week #2. In eighty-two minutes of play, Batista stopped 5 shots and did not allow a single goal in a Knights 5-0 victory over USCAA Division I opponent, Manor College. For his outstanding efforts, Batista was USCAA Division II Men's Soccer Goalie of the Week for Week #1.

Note worthy performances were had by Esteban Pedrueza from Berkeley College. Pedrueza scored 2 of the 5 goals against Manor College, earning USCAA honors as Men's Soccer Division II Player of the Week for Week #1. And, Angel Chavez of Five Towns College, scored 2 of 5 goals over the course of two matches. Five Towns College went 1-1.

Selections on the Women's Soccer side of the HVIAC are the following:

This week, Dafne Espana from Five Towns College, has been selected as Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Espana, posted a hat trick(3 goals) in a 7-2 victory against USCAA opponent, Bucks County Community College.

Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week is awarded to Jainee Martinez from Five Towns College. Martinez, is credited for an assist against NCAA Division III SUNY Maritime and scored her first collegiate goal against Bucks County Community College. Five Towns College went 1-1.
