The ACPHS women's soccer team were named Panther Invitational tournament champions on Sunday after defeating Unity College 5-0.
The Panthers hosted NHTI, The King's College, and Unity College, this weekend as a part of the Panther Invitational Soccer tournament, which was sponsored by the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Medical Center, and the Recovery Room Sports Grill.
Saturday's matchup pitted the Panthers against The King's College, who were able to hold the Panthers scoreless for the first half. The Panthers began the second half fired up as freshman
Julia Rosenberger started the scoring streak just over a minute into the half.
The King's College answered back with a goal from Jordan Olsen, but that would round out the scoring for King's as the Panthers dominated the rest of the game.

Frances Ripepi,
Sarah Cope and
Katie Parsels to finish the game 4-1.
Sunday's game was a matchup against Unity College, who defeated NHTI by a score of 1-0 to advance to the tournament championship.
The Panthers dominated the game from the opening kick. Senior captain
Frances Ripepi found the back of the net early on in the game with a rocket from the top of the box that found it's way to the upper 90 corner of the goal.
With only a few minutes remaining in the half
Kayli Smith fed the ball through the defense to
Sarah Cope who easily slipped the ball past the keeper.
The second half saw another goal by
Sarah Cope, assisted by freshman
Olivia Dubois. Freshman
Kayli Smith also notched two goals of her own to make the score 5-0 and solidify the win.
The Panthers improve to 3-0 on the season and will enjoy a week off before they face SUNY ESF at Onondaga Community College on Saturday at 6pm.
