BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Making the team's dual-meet season debut, Sarah Lawrence College women's swimming cruised past SUNY Cobleskill (3-1), 126-71, and sank College of Mount Saint Vincent (1-3), 146-49, in non-conference competition at Campbell Sports Center on Saturday.

Sarah Lawrence (2-0) nearly ran the table, winning eight of the 11 events. The Gryphons began the meet by setting a new school record in a victorious 200 yard medley relay. Posting their third SLC-record time in the event, Gryphons Jay Pulitano (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes), Jacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn), Colette Harley (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) and Gabby Risica (Narragansett, R.I./Narragansett) combined for a time of 2:07.13 to win the first event of the day.

Pulitano picked up an individual win by taking the 200 yard freestyle (2:19.52) with more than four seconds to spare. The junior also posted a runner-up swim in the 100 backstroke (1:14.23) followed by sophomore Sam Amberchan (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo-Atherton) (1:15.62).

Risica dominated the sprints, as the rookie edged out her opponents in the 50 yard freestyle (27.57) and later won the 100 freestyle (1:01.57) by a second and a half. Amberchan also recorded a solo victory, touching the wall first in the 200 yard individual medley (2:40.30) for a four-second victory.

Harley, the reigning Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week, scored a win in the 100 yard butterfly with a performance of 1:06.32, missing her own school record by 0.28 second.

Quirk, the current HVIAC Rookie of the Week, notched the Gryphons' final individual win of the day. In the 100 yard breaststroke, she paced the field by three seconds, clocking in at 1:21.74.

Distance specialist Alexis Bates (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) finished as runner-up in her first 1000 yard freestyle of the season, posting a mark of 12:41.72. In the 500 yard freestyle, rookie Harley took second place (6:08.55), followed by Bates in third (6:16.48).

The day concluded with a winning Green and White 200 yard free relay. Squad members Natasha Leonard (Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i/Kealakehe), Amberchan, Monika Mednick (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo-Atherton) and Bates completed the event in 2:00.73 to seal wins in both team matchups.
