Huskies Defeat Lynx

Concord, NH – The Huskies made the trip to Concord to play NHTI Lynx on Saturday afternoon. Joseph Mathews started off quickly as he netted his 16^th goal of the season just 6 minutes in, But the Lynx evened it 22 minutes later to make it 1-1. The Huskies would keep pushing and  Joseph Mathews scored his second goal of the day and 17^th of the season in the 44^th minute of the game to give Word of Life a 2-1 lead into the half.

The 2^nd half was a slow start to it, but in the 57^th minute, Midfielder Alexi Marshall scored to make it 3-1 Huskies. The Lynx were not done yet as they scored to make it 3-2 in the 76^th minute of the game with plenty of time to even things out. But Joseph Mathews had other ideas as he put the nail in the coffin with his third goal of the day to make it 4-2 in the 88^th minute. The Huskies tacked on a PK goal with 3 seconds left from Colden Deitch to seal the deal for a 5-2 victory for the Huskies.

The Huskies improve to 7-2-1 and will host USCAA Division I and #1 Ranked Bryant & Stratton College (Rochester) Tuesday evening at 6 p.m.
