SLC retook the advantage with the No. 1 doubles match, as Nora Landes (Los Angeles, Calif./Cleveland Humanities Magnet) and Kayla Pincus (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) picked up their second partnership victory of the year, 8-5, to give the Gryphons a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.

In her collegiate debut, rookie Gryphon Sarah Pyatt (Taos, N.M./Taos) came out on top in the No. 6 singles match, 6-4, 6-4. First-year player Caroline Harrison (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) also triumphed in her first collegiate match, picking up the No. 5 position, 7-5, 7-5.

Atkinson had the honor of clinching the win for Sarah Lawrence. The first-year player cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 4 position to capture her fourth win in as many collegiate matches.

Though the team match was out of reach, Cooper Union's top players fought to the end. Laura Quan comfortably took a 6-1, 6-1, win in the No. 1 match, while Emily Adamo polished off the night with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 2 match.
