TEANECK, N.J.— The Yeshiva University women's soccer team opened its 2013 season with a 6-0 home loss to Lehman College at Fairleigh Dickinson University on Friday afternoon. The Maccabees are now 0-1 this season, while Lehman is 1-0.
 
Lehman scored two goals in the first half and the other four in the second to round out the scoring.
 
The game was scoreless until the twenty-fourth minute when Lehman's Juliana Generoso scored the first goal of the game and her first of three in the contest.  Just before halftime, Generoso scored again to put the Lightning up a pair.
 
Lehman's Leidy Valenci scored the first goal of the second half to put the Lightning up 3-0. Then Generoso completed the hat-trick. Lehman's final two goals were scored by Yessica Estrella and Samantha Dias.
 
Yeshiva was outshot by Lehman 22-5, including 13-4 in the first half and 9-1 in the second half. Sara Shamir and Shlomit Braun recorded two shots each in the contest.
 
Elena Kook made seven saves for the Maccabees.
