Box Score Throggs Neck, NY- The Women's Volleyball team defeated the SUNY Maritime Privateers 3-0 earlier tonight. The Cougars won 25-14, 25-18, and 25-17. The win improves their record to 1-2 Overall while the Privateers drop to 0-2 Overall.

The Cougars tallied 16 kills over SUNY Maritime's 13. The Cougars dominated all 3 sets. They only committed 15 errors compared to Maritime's  29.

Senior Captain and Outside Hitter, Janiece Hill led the match with 8 kills on 23 total attacks. Hill added an assist, 3 service aces, and 7 digs. Senior Beatrice Bonhomme, Sophomore Nina Bernadine-White, and Freshman Kalifa Roberts all tallied 2 kills. Bernadine-White tallied a match high 12 assists. Kalifa Roberts earned a match high 6 service aces and Janiece Hill added a team high 7 digs.

In the loss, SUNY Maritime was led by Charlotte Acklin with 5 kills.

The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday September 11, 2013, when they travel to SUNY Old Westbury and play the Panthers. Match time is set for 7pm.
