The Berkeley College men's basketball team dropped its second game in as many days, falling to the Eagles of Midway University by a score of 99-74. The game took place at the Waller Gymnasium on the campus of Shawnee State University, as part of the Sean Elliott Classic. 

With the defeat, the Knights have now dropped four games overall as a program. The last time that happened was back during the 2013-2014 season, when Berkeley dropped six straight contests from December 8 through December 30.

Despite the loss for the Knights, freshman Daquan Jackson starred for Berkeley. He connected on 50 percent of his attempts from the floor, draining eight of 16 shots to tie for the game-high of 21 points. Additionally, the 6'5 forward snatched 13 rebounds, a total that tied him for the high on the afternoon. Finally, swatted a game-high two shots, while converting on five of his seven attempts from the charity stripe.

Junior guard Tristan Polnitz put together a solid 26 minutes for Berkeley in his second game as a Knight, as he drilled five of his eight attempts from the floor to finalize his afternoon with 11 points. The newcomer grabbed seven boards, accumulated a team-high four assists, and added a pair of steals.

Veteran center Stevaun Latouche contributed nine points and six rebounds in 24 minutes of action, and Robert Soriano added eight points, a game-high four steals, and three rebounds.

In the victory for Midway University, Kwon Evans tied for the game-high in points with 21 on the day. He shot 60 percent from the floor, nailing nine of 15 attempts. Additionally, he snatched eight rebounds, while adding three steals. Jason Gammage posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 caroms, and Kaleb Britt scored 13 points and contributed a game-high six assists.

Shooting efficiency was a problem for Berkeley for the second consecutive game. The Knights converted on just 30 of their 84 attempts (35.7 percent), including just three of 14 from downtown. On the flip side, the Eagles were red hot, draining 52 percent of their attempts (39-for-75), including a 45 percent conversion rate from three-point territory (9-for-19).

The Knights out-rebounded Midway University by a slim margin of 45-42, and the Eagles barely won the turnover battle, committing 17 while forcing 18 Berkeley mistakes.

Berkeley will now have two weeks off before returning to the court on Saturday, November 16, as the Knights will take on Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse. The game will serve as Berkeley's home opener, and the contest will take place at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Start-time is scheduled for 2:00pm.
