YONKERS, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer lost to College of Mount Saint Vincent, 7-0, in a non-conference game at Tibbetts Brook Park on Wednesday.
Mount Saint Vincent (3-1) took control early and maintained offensive momentum throughout. Sophomore Vanessa Cornacchio tallied a hat trick by scoring the first three goals of the game (11', 13', 22'). Charlotte Barnham pitched in two goals (26', 33') for the Dolphins, while Ashley Mars notched a score in the waning minutes of the opening half (44').
Though CMSV cooled off in the second half, Nicole Flores got in the action and rounded out the scorecard with a 58th-minute goal. Courtney LaTorre, Gabriella Astorino and Cornacchio recorded assists in the effort.
Sarah Lawrence (0-3) was held without a shot in the game. Goalkeeper Addie Rosenberg (New York, N.Y./Fusion Academy) tallied four saves between the pipes for the Gryphons.
Sarah Lawrence takes a few days off before returning to action Monday. SLC hosts City College of New York on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at Tibbetts Brook Park.
