Huskies Win the 2022 Division II Bible College NIT

The Huskies have won the 2022 Division II Bible College National Invitational Tournament hosted by Word of Life in Pottersville, NY!

Led by Head Coach Justin Cousins, the Huskies remained determined throughout the tournament. With a decisive 83-47 win over Patrick Henry College of Purcellville, Virginia, the Huskies landed themselves in the championship game against Appalachian Bible College of Mount Hope, West Virginia. The Huskies fought hard during the first half with Ethan Crawford leading the way offensively with 12 points and Noah Amet maintaining a major presence in the paint with 8 points and 13 rebounds. The Huskies carried their momentum from the first period into the second period of play with Jesse Rasberry leading offensively with 15 points. Cyrus Sprague, also, had an outstanding second half with posting 13 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.

At the end of two periods, the Huskies came out on top with a score of 97-88. Leading the way was sophomore Jesse Rasberry with 25 points and junior Ethan Crawford with 19 points. Additionally, Cyrus Sprague posted 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Noah Amet chipped in with 16 points and 17 rebounds.

The Huskies are hoping that this 6-game winning streak will carry into the HVIAC Conference Tournament hosted at Five Towns College next weekend. They will face off against Five Towns in the semi-final game on Saturday, 2/26. If the Huskies can re-write their previous contest against Five Towns with their 94-83 victory, then they will play the reigning champions of Berkeley College on Sunday afternoon.
