BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—In the team's home finale, Sarah Lawrence College men's volleyball split its two matches in a tri-match at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Sunday. Sarah Lawrence fell to Albertus Magnus College, 3-0, before sweeping Medgar Evers College, 3-0.

In the day's first match, Sarah Lawrence (5-16) opened up a 10-2 lead over Albertus Magnus (10-16) in the opening set, but the Falcons refused to be dismissed. The Falcons chipped away at the deficit and finally leveled the score at 23-23. With momentum in hand, Albertus Magnus scored the final two points of the 25-23 first set.

Sarah Lawrence fell behind early in the second set but went on a four-point streak to tie the score at 9-9. The Gryphons again trailed at 15-12, but this time, Albertus Magnus scored six unanswered points for a 21-13 edge, and the Falcons closed out the set 25-17.

The third set saw Albertus Magnus jump out to a 5-1 advantage and build upon the lead at 14-6. Despite a rally by Sarah Lawrence to narrow the gap to 20-17, the Falcons held on to the lead in the 25-20 set to clinch the sweep.

Gryphon sophomore Harrison Holmes (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Webb School) led all players with 11 kills in the match. Sarah Lawrence libero Riley Smith (West Linn, Ore., Palo Alto (Calif.)) bested all players with 11 digs, and setter Brent Terry (Crownpoint, N.M./Idyllwild Arts Academy) had 18 assists in the match.

Sarah Lawrence squared off against Medgar Evers to conclude the Gryphons' home schedule. The Green and White led wire-to-wire in the opening set, breaking away to a 12-5 advantage before closing out the 25-10 set. Sarah Lawrence's offense faltered in the third set as the team's eight kills were offset by an equal number of attack errors.
