Hecox's Hat Trick Leads Panthers to Victory

The ACPHS men's soccer team has had a string of hat trick in recent weeks. First, Anthony Changelo scored three goals against the Culinary Institute, then on Saturday Alessandro Macchiarelli put three in the back of the net in a win over Vaughn College, and on Sunday Zach Hecox earned a hat trick of his own as he scored all three of the team's goals as the Panthers defeated Sarah Lawrence College 3-0 in a Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference matchup.

Despite holding a 12-5 advantage in shots in the first half, ACPHS was unable to score and the game went into halftime with no score. At the six minute mark of the second half, Macchiarelli found Hecox who scored from 20 yards out into the upper right of the goal. Less than a minute, the Macchiarelli-Hecox combination struck again as Hecox finished a nice pass to extend the lead for the Panthers. At the 65th minute, Hecox completed his hat trick on an assist from Anthony Changelo.

ACPHS improves to 5-2 on the season with the win as the Panthers stay unbeated at 3-0 in the HVMAC.
