Box Score TEANECK, N.J.— The Yeshiva men's soccer team, for the second game in a row, outscored the opposition by a half dozen goals as the Maccabees beat St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, 6-0, at Fairleigh Dickinson University on Sunday evening.
Yeshiva was in command from the outset, they outshot the Bears 31-7 in the contest, including 12-3 in the first half and 19-4 in the final stanza.
Yeshiva got on the board at the 21:40 mark on a goal by
Itamar Ben David. Then later in the first half, Ben David fed
Daniel Benchimol at 25:39 for a strike that put the Maccabees up 2-0 before halftime.
In the second half, Ben David added two more assists, while Benchimol scored his second goal of the game. The other goals were recorded by
Avi Baron,
Rafi Friedman and
Akiva Glazerson. Baron netted his at the 50:53 marker, before Friedman scored at 60:00. Then Glazerson put his in the net at 75:04 to make the score 5-0. Then Benchimol netted the game's final goal at 80:34 to round out the scoring.
Joseph Blechner stopped five shots in the win to record the shutout.
