SOUTH PORTLAND, ME – UMA women's basketball hosted Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Services Sunday at SMCC. The Moose improved 11-8 after defeating the Panthers 73-49.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After having to reschedule a game and a practice due to the back to back winter storms the Moose got off to a slow start in the first quarter shooting 23%. UMA began to find their stride in the second quarter improving their shooting to 64% and going up 36-20 after the first half.
The Moose extended their lead 52-32 by the end of the 3rd quarter. With five minutes remaining Madeline Suhr hit back to back from behind the arc. The Moose saw strong defensive play by Cassidy Lessner and Mallory Chamberlain to close the game out.
