Dix Hills, N.Y., -- On Tuesday, December 14, the Vaughn College Warriors squared off against the Five Towns College (FTC) Sound. The Warriors competed well against the Sound in the first half. They went into the break trailing by eight points (45-37). Turnovers and missed opportunities would plague the Warriors in the second half. The Sound was able to capitalize on the Warriors misfortunes and open up a huge second half lead. The Warriors would go on to fall to the Sound on the road. 

The Warriors had three players score in double-digits in the loss. Louis Roche had a great bounce back game. Roche finished with a team-high 18 points on 5-11 shooting from the field and was a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line. Fabrizio Dottin (Queens, NY)  recorded his first career double-double. Dottin poured in 14 points and pulled down a season-high 12 rebounds. Jordan Munez (Brooklyn, NY) came off the bench and added 14 points, including three triples from distance. 

The Warriors will look to regroup over the winter break. They will return to action in a non-conference match against Paul Smith College.
