Huskies Defeat Vaughn in Dominate Performance

CORONA, NY - - The Word of Life Huskies wrapped up their 2023 portion of the 2023/24 season on the road at Vaughn College. The Huskies entered play on a 4 game skid and looked to change that entering the holiday break. It was a dominating performance by the Huskies with them taking a 40-18 lead at halftime and throughout the game, the team only made 1 three point shot. The Huskies were able to dominate in the paint with Joseph Mathews scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Branden Dugger scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Huskies to victory in a 79-43 win.

This improves the Huskies to 3-10 on the season and will return to play on Saturday, January 13 at Villa Maria College in what will be the Huskies' conference opener.
