Warriors Take Care Of King's College At Home

The Vaughn College Warriors men's basketball team defeated the King's College Lions at Elmcor Recreation Center on Monday, November 25. The Warriors had a nine point lead over the Lions at halftime. The Lions were able to cut the lead to two points in the second half. Key defensive stops and timely baskets by the Warriors helped the men's basketball team escape with a 70-65 victory. 

Three players scored in double-figures for the Warriors. Marcus Heron (Yonkers, NY) led all scorers with 26 points. Heron also tallied five assists and five rebounds. Kemarlie McLean (Brooklyn, NY) registered 17 points and six rebounds. Louis Roche (Carteret, NJ) added 11 points and four rebounds. 

The win improves the Warriors record to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC). The next opponent for the Warriors will be Kingsborough Community College on Tuesday, December 3.
