BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer dropped a pair of road games this weekend, falling to Cooper Union, 3-1, on Saturday and to York College, 6-1, on Sunday. Sarah Lawrence (2-9) has now lost five straight matches and looks to rebound in the final three weeks of the season.
On Saturday, the Gryphons held Cooper Union scoreless through the first half, but the hosts scored two goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Sophomore
Julian Bonte-Friedheim (Milan, Italy, International School of Milan) halved the deficit with his first goal of the season, but the final minutes saw Cooper Union tack on an insurance goal for a 3-1 victory.
In Sunday's game against York, the Cardinals scored the match's first goal to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. The York College offense pounded away at the Sarah Lawrence goal, out-shooting the Gryphons by a 42-7 margin and adding five second-half goals. In the final minute of the match, sophomore
