Men's Volleyball Wins Second in Last Three Outings, Sweeps Past Medgar Evers

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team used a season-best .434 hitting percentage Tuesday night to sweep past host Medgar Evers College in non-conference action, by a 3-0 count (25-9, 25-18, 25-5).

Senior co-captain Jared Rechnitz (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the charge for the Maccabees, who are now winners in two of their last three outings. He picked up 11 points on the night, hitting 9-0-11 (.818) while serving up two aces. Junior setter Adam Rhodes (Los Angeles, Calif.) assisted on 24 of the YU kills, while registering three service aces and a match-best two assisted blocks, while freshman defensive specialist, Jorge Dabah (Miami, Fla.) led all players with four service aces and 10 digs.

Head coach Arnold Ross's Yeshiva side will next look to keep its 3-0 record in Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) action unblemished, when it travels to Glen Cove, N.Y., for an 8 p.m. match on Thursday (Mar. 14) at Webb.
