ALBANY, N.Y. – Meeting for the eighth time in 10 years for the league title, Berkeley College overcame an 11-point deficit and defeated St. Joseph's College, 91-82, to capture the 2015 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Berkeley (19-5, 6-0 HVIAC) completed a perfect season in league play to win their seventh league title. Kenton Chan-Man led five Knights in double figures with a game-high 25-point effort and was named Tournament MVP averaging 20.5 points on 50 percent shooting (15-30) for the tournament. Keenan Langston had 23 points, including 10-for-15 from the free throw line. Stephon Jennings contributed a 14-point, 15-rebound double-double.

St. Joseph's (18-9) was led by David Louison who posted 20 points and eight rebounds and Matt O'Neill who had 18 points, six rebounds and six steals.

The Bears grabbed an early lead that ballooned to 11 with seven minutes before the break and carried a 43-37 lead into the lockers.

The Knights unleashed 11-0 run to open the second half and took their first lead since the opening minutes of the game to pull ahead by five, 48-43. The Bears would regain the lead and neither team could build more than a five-point advantage.

But with Louison—named HVIAC Player of the Year in post-tournament ceremonies—forced to bench with 12 minutes left saddled with his fourth foul, the Knights managed to open a double-digit lead by the time he returned five minutes later. But despite his return, Berkeley hovered their lead around 10 points for the remainder of the contest thwarting any St. Joseph's comeback attempt shooting 53 percent (18-34) in the second half and capitalizing on 28 attempts at the free throw line, sinking 15, including nine from Langston.
