Berkeley College

The Berkeley College Knights completed their second straight perfect conference season with a 91-84 triumph over St. Joseph's.  All five Knight starters scored in double-figures led by Mario Guzman and Jose Stable who had 21 points each. Berkeley built as large as a 20 point lead in the second half and held off a late St. Joseph's charge that cut the lead to four points with two minutes left, capturing their fifth title in the sixth meeting of the squads in the last seven years for the championship.

Tournament MVP

Elijah Craig was selected as the 2012 HVMAC Tournament Most Valuable Player.  The reigning Player of the Week recorded a pair of double-doubles in the tournament, averaging 18.0 points and tournament-leading 14.0 rebounds, including 16 points and 16 rebounds in the championship game, leading the Knights to their fifth title. 

Coach of the Year

Joseph Cocozello •  St. Joseph's College

St. Joseph’s College head coach Joseph Cocozello was selected by his peers as the 2011-2012 Coach of the Year.  Cocozello guided his Bears squad to their highest win total in five seasons (13) and their seventh straight trip to the HVMAC title game.
