HYDE PARK, N.Y. – Culinary Institute of America's Dan Landon (Johnsburgh, Ill.) was named Player of the Year as the league announced the members of the All-HVIAC Men’s Soccer Team at the conclusion of the 2014 HVIAC Championship.
Landon led the HVIAC in goals (14) and points (31). The sophomore was also led the conference with four game-winning goals, all coming in league games.
Webb Institute's freshman Ryan Chozick and the King’s College freshman Jacob Wright (Philadelphia, Pa.) were selected as Co-Rookies of the Year. Chozick finished his rookie campaign fourth in the conference in goals (10) and points (20). King's goalie Wright led the HVIAC with 112 saves and was fourth with a .732 save percentage.
Culinary head coach Chris Lyn was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Steels (8-4-2, 5-1) to the regular season HVIAC championship.
In total, 18 men were honored with the All-Conference team award for outstanding play throughout the season.
The HVIAC All-Conference Team, Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year are selected by the conference’s men’s soccer coaches based on regular season conference play.
