Cooper Union

Cooper Union successfully defends their HVMAC Tennis title.  In a highly contested regular season race that saw three teams in the hunt until the final week of play, Cooper Union came out on top finishing the regular season with an unblemished record.  They went on to capture the tournament title with a dominating performance, winning seven of the nine individual flight championships.

2010 Coach of the Year

Walter Sanchez •  St. Joseph’s College

Head coach Walter Sanchez of St. Joseph’s College has been selected as the 2010 HVMAC Tennis Coach of the Year as voted the coaches in the conference.

Sanchez was highly regarded by many coaches and players for his integrity and promoting good sportsmanship.  In the conference tournament, Sanchez guided St. Joseph’s to a third place finish with three runner-up finishes in the individual flight championships.
