FLUSHING, N.Y. -- After completing the regular season in conference play undefeated, the Pratt Institute Cannoneers produced seven of the nine flight champions and captured the 2013 Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament Championship held at the USTA Billy Jean King National Tennis Center.

The Cannoneers improved upon a third place finish last season and dropped only two matches all afternoon as the conference crowned a new champion for the first time in seven years.

Pratt's John Imamoglu emerged are the tournament's overall singles champion edging out Phil London of Sarah Lawrence in a hard-fought tiebreaker, winning 9-8 (7-4). For the season, Imamoglu compiled an unblemished a 4-0 singles record and 4-0 doubles record.

Sarah Lawrence College and the Culinary Institute of America shared tournament runner-up honors, each producing the remaining flight champions.

Head coach Pat Doherty of Webb Institute was selected as Coach of the Year, repeating the award he also won in 2011.
