SUNY-ESF Posts Perfect Score to Win Men's Cross Country Championship

MILTON, N.Y. – Led by overall champion Stephen Slonosky, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry compiled a perfect score of 15 to capture the 2015 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's cross country championship held on Sunday afternoon at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome.

Slonosky led the field of 46 runners covering the 8-kilometer course in 28:36. The Mighty Oaks took the top seven positions and 15 claimed medalist honors. Completing the perfect scoring five for ESF with a 43-second gap from first to fifth were Peter LeDuc (28:48), Micheal Persson (29:01), Reed Scott (29:05) and Christian Freeman (29:19).

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences claimed runner-up honors led by junior Matthew Kaczmarek who finished in eighth place (30:04). Culinary Institute of America rounded out the three scoring teams paced by the 10th place finish of senior Jon Allmond.
