Championship
#1 St. Joseph’s 56, #2 Albany Pharmacy 53

St. Joseph’s College captures their first conference championship in four years remaining undefeated in regular season and tournament action. The road to the title wasn’t easy, with big opposition from Albany Pharmacy who posed tough tests for the Lady Bears in both the regular season meeting and in the championship game.

In the title game, St. Joseph’s led from the opening tip and by as many as 14 in the second half. Albany Pharmacy clawed back into the game and finally took their first lead, 53-52 with just under a minute in regulation. The Lady Bears hit two free throws to give St. Joseph’s back the lead and made a steal on the ensuing possession and sank two more free throws to build a three point advantage with five seconds left and the Panthers would be unable to get off a tying three-point attempt.
