NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Berkeley College junior Ayana Ratliff was named the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Year as the league announced the members of the All-HVIAC Women's Basketball Team at the start of the 2018 HVIAC Championship at the College of New Rochelle.

A four-time Player of the Week honoree this season, Ratliff scored in double figures in all 17 of the Knights' games this season and led the conference in scoring at 26.2 points a clip, posting three 30-point games in league play. She also leads the USCAA in scoring and is fourth nationally in steals.

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences freshman Daniella Scanlon was selected as Rookie of the Year. The two-time Rookie of the Week averaged 12.8 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in league play.

In total, 13 women received All-Conference recognition for outstanding play throughout the season and four were repeat honorees.

Leading Falcons to their first regular season title with a 14-9 overall mark and a 5-1 record in league play, Davis College head coach Larry Ellis was voted the 2018 Coach of the Year.

The HVIAC All-Conference Team, Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year are selected by the conference’s women's basketball coaches based on regular season conference play.
