NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.—Led by Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year Alice Vicente (Lisbon, Portugal) of Pratt Institute, the 2014 All-HVIAC Women's Volleyball Team was announced during the HVIAC Championships.

Vicente, a four-time Player of the Week this season, hit .350 and averaged 4.38 kills per set in league play this season, leading the Cannoneers to a second place finish and a 14-3 mark overall.

College of New Rochelle freshman Fabiola Padilla Rios (San Juan, Puerto Rico) was named Rookie of the Year after collecting five Rookie of the Week awards this season and averaging 3.0 kills and 4.27 digs per set in helping the Blue Angels to an unblemished league record without dropping a set.

Second-year head coach Tiffany Firebaugh of King's College was selected as Coach of the Year after guiding the Lady Lions to their first HVIAC Tournament berth and third place finish in conference.

In total, 10 women were honored by with All-Conference team for outstanding play throughout the season and five are repeat winners.

The HVIAC All-Conference Team, Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year are selected by the conference's women's volleyball coaches.
