Men's Basketball: Vaughn 80, King's 48

The Warriors picked up their third Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) win against The Kings College Lions on Saturday, January 21. Vaughn College dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Lions 59-43. The men's basketball team scored 44 points in the paint and received a major contribution from their bench. The Warrior's bench poured in 41 points in the game en route to a 80-48 win over the Lions. 

Dillon Dieng (Bronx, NY) led the way for the men's basketball team. Dieng scored 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds and had two blocks coming off the bench. Kevin Vanderpool (Yonkers, NY) registered 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Michael Pena chipped in 11 points. Lamink Barr (Yonkers, NY)  had near double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Donald Tompson (Yonkers, NY) added nine points and five rebounds. 

The men's basketball team improve their record to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the HVIAC. They will return to the court on Wednesday, January 25 in a heavyweight battle against HVIAC rival opponent Berkeley College. They game will be played at Elmcor Recreation Center at 8 p.m.
