NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The College of New Rochelle's men's basketball team concluded their regular season slate of conference games as they defeated The King's College (NY) by the score of 90-34. The win brings the team's conference record to a robust 7-1 and moves their overall record to 15-8.

The team raced out to a 19-0 lead to start the game en route to a 55-15 half-time lead. Much of that damage came in the paint as The King's College struggled to keep the Blue Angels away from the rim. A duo of freshmen forwards particularly took advantage, starting with Wesley Kra (Queens, NY). The newcomer shattered Hunter Schenkel's (Sayville, NY) team record for rebounds (18) with an astonishing 28 boards, including 12 offensive rebounds. The 12 offensive rebounds is also a new all-time high for the team in their history. Kra's effort netted him 22 points on the night to go along with four assists, both career highs for him.

Kra did his damage with sheer strength and tenacity and Elijah Robinson (New York) used his length and smoothness to put up a monster night of his own.  Robinson scored 19 points, a new career high. He also secured 12 rebounds while blocking two shots.

While Kra and Robinson worked down low, Chase Rosato (Staten Island, NY) and Nyle Salley Jr(Harlem, NY) orchestrated from the backcourt.  Salley Jr grabbed nine rebounds and dished eight assists to go along with his five points. The eight assists are a career high for Salley JrRosato continued his season long hot shooting by swishing four threes on his way to an 18 point performance. Rosato also had four rebounds and three assists. Freshman Justin Rivera (New York, NY) rounded out the quartette of double digit scorers. Rivera scored 10 points in the win while also pulling down seven rebounds.

In their two seasons of existence, the men's basketball team has accumulated an all-time conference record of 13-3. The 15th overall win of the season bests last year's mark of 14 wins. The team will look for win number 16 on Sunday when they take-on non-conference opponent SUNY Maritime. Tip-off is at 2:00 PM.
