Men's Basketball: Vaughn 75, Albany Pharmacy 71

Albany, N.Y. -- The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Panthers (5-9, 2-2) fell to the visiting Vaughn Warriors on Saturday afternoon in a hard-fought contest by a final score of 75-71.

Vaughn led 38-31 at the half. Pharmacy mounted a 10-0 run early in the second half to pull within 1, but Vaughn responded with a 13-1 run of its own to extend the lead and pull away from the Panthers for good. Pharmacy was plagued by turnovers all afternoon, giving the ball away 28 times in response to the Vaughn pressure defense.

Casey Redfern (14 points, 11 rebounds), Joe Britt (19 points, 14 rebounds), and Ryan McVaigh (15 points, 10 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles for ACPHS.

The Panthers return to action tomorrow, Sunday, January 26th, on the road at Culinary Institute. Their next home game is not until Saturday, February 8th, at 3 p.m. against Sarah Lawrence College.
