Softball Player of the Week | |
Samantha Rossi, St. Joseph'sFreshman • Outfielder • Bayside, N.Y./Mary Louis Rossi provided the power to the Lady Bears lineup this week, hitting .333 (8-for-24) with three doubles and a home run over a seven-game stretch for St. Joseph's. The freshman knocked in a team-high-tying eight runs and scored five runs of her own. The outfielder had three multi-hit games, including a career day at York on Wednesday as she went 3-for-7 with her first career homer, five RBI and two runs scored. Rossi ended the week with a .583 slugging percentage and now leads the team with 14 RBI on the season. |

Softball Pitcher of the Week | |
Jackie Perillo, St. Joseph'sJunior • Pitcher/Outfielder • Howard Beach, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy Perillo picked up three of the Lady Bears four wins
in the circle this week compiling a 5.64 ERA in 22 1/3 innings with
four complete games. The junior threw a five-inning, complete game
shutout at York on Wednesday, allowing only three hits. Perillo
also contributed at the plate, hitting .263 (5-for-19) with five
runs scored and two RBI. |

Softball Rookie of the Week | |
Briana Robles, St. Joseph'sJunior • Infielder • Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Kearney Robles had her best week as a Lady Bear, hitting .389 (7-for-18) with a team-high-tying eight RBI along with six runs scored. The junior finished with a hit in five of St. Joseph’s seven games and recorded an RBI in six games as the Lady Bears went 4-3 on the week. Robles had her best day of the season on Wednesday going 3-for-6 with four runs scored and three RBI during a sweep of York. |

Men's Tennis Player of the Week | |
Nate Currier, Sarah LawrenceSenior • San Rafael, Calif. Currier posted a perfect 6-0 week at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions, helping SLC to win all three of its matches. After he blanked his St. Joseph's opponent, he defeated his opponent from Vaughn, 10-5, to improve to 4-0 in league play. Currier also added a straight-sets win against Lehman. The SLC senior also won three matches with partner Elliott Warkus, sweeping foes from St. Joseph's and Vaughn. |

Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week | |
Jonah Blake, Sarah LawrenceFirst-year • Newport Beach, Calif. Blake picked up three HVIAC wins in a 3-0 week for the Gryphons. After winning the No. 5 match against St. Joseph's, he won his third straight singles match, 10-2, in the No. 4 position against Vaughn, improving to 3-1 in conference play. Blake went 1-0 in doubles matches, teaming with Adam Neufeld to defeat their opponents from Vaughn, 8-1. |

Moritz Petre, Pratt • Men's Tennis Petre led the Cannoneers by going a combined 5-0 between No. 2 singles and No. 1 and No. 2 doubles play as the team took sole control of first place at 3-0 in HVIAC play. During a win over Webb, Petre led Pratt by teaming with John Imamoglu for a convincing 8-1 win over Chris Licato and Evan Wingfield at No. 1 doubles. |
